The Story Continues!: Returning to Oleg's after the Stag Lords Defeat!

Besides Akiros Insmorte and Auchs, 11 bandits survived the battle at the Stag Lords Fortress. After officially being taken into custody by our heroes using the Writ of Law given them by the SwordLords of Brevoy the bandits now make their way solemnly once again to Oleg's Trading Post as prisoners.
The people of Oleg's rejoice to see the charter bearers return yet again from a successful trip into the Wilds! Oleg himself is surprised at the number of prisoners they have brought back this time around and expresses worry about the room he can afford to house the prisoners until they are sent of to Brevoy for trial.
After many assurances from both our heroes and Kesten Garess( who has recruited yet more aid in the form of guardsmen for the Outpost), he puts aside his worries and sends word of the new development to the SwordLords immediately.
After discussing with Marshal it is decided that the bandits will be placed under Kesten Garess and used to make final repairs to the Outpost while they are here. Akiros Insmorte expresses the desire to aid Garess as a guardsman to keep the bandits in check until the SwordLords arrive to transport them to Brevoy. The request is granted by Marshal who knows that Akiros is done running from the crimes he has committed. Akiros is also the only one who can keep the large brute Auchs under control while Uldon is away.
Once the prisoners are situated Oleg pulls our heroes aside to discuss a few remaining matters regarding their charters for exploration of the Greenbelt. There are relatively few areas left to explore but it will take at least one week for an envoy from the sword Lords to arrive and assess the progress in the region, so they do have some time.
He reminds them that the following issues still need to be addressed :
-Finish Exploring the remaining areas of the Greenbelt
- Deal with the threat of the reported Tatzylwyrms living in the region
- Deal with the threat of the strange Undead Haunting the Toll Bridge to the Southeast
-Speak to the priest Jhod to see what can be done about cleansing the Stags Helm ( He suggests this AFTER hearing the tale of what transpired at the Stag Lords Fortress).

Furthermore Oleg presents Flynn with a special package he received while at the Stag Lords Fortress. The package need the symbol of Flynn's noble house. ( Flynn will receive a private email regarding this).
Oleg is also ready to take any additional special orders our heroes might have and makes delivery on any special orders that have been made thus far.

  1. During the discussions, Flynn also brings up the undead graveyard near the fort. Although it provides an excellent defense, it cannot be allowedd to persist. It presents a threat to unaware innocents, and the undead could potentially rise up and menace the area. We will deal with the Worms and the lingering spirit immediately.

With Sword Lords arriving in a few weeks, we will need to make sure we recieve them properly. Flynn explains that many of them are proper nobility. We will need to make sure they have the best accomidations that the frontier can provide. Flynn speaks with Oleg and Svetlana, and offers to buy their services in playing hosts to the Sword Lords. Our group will donate 500 GP to cover the costs of food, drink, a very, very mild amount of entertainment, and new linens, pillows, and other small comfortabilities. If they need more money, Flynn will pay out of pocket.

  2. Flynn speaks with Udon, Marshal, and Yasur (SP?) in private.
"As some of you already know, my family are nobles, and my father commands a decent amount of respect. He has caught wind that if the Swordlords are impressed with our progress, they will likely be colonizing the region. If we stay on their good side, this could be very beneficial to us. If we get on their bad side, they could just as easily take our accomplishments and claim them for themselves, leaving us with nothing. Udon, please remember that our Swordlords have different customs from your people. They are also very skilled in sword play. They may challenge you to a duel. It's okay to win, but for the love of Abadar, don't maim them. A good roughing is fine, but if you do any lasting damage, they will make things very bad for us. We also need to make sure Emfaesus (Michael's character) and his unnatural proclivities are kept under wraps. We will have to keep an eye on the new guy until we have a better idea of his trustworthiness."

  3. Oleg excitedly accepts the money, just as eager as Flynn to impress whatever Emissary the SwordLords send to the frontier. He immediately puts in EXPRESS orders for all of the things Flynn's suggests, plus a few more things.
He also agrees the undead around the fort need to be silenced, though he has no idea how it would be done.
He suggests that if none of you can find an answer perhaps Jhod at Erastils Shrine or even the hermit Bokken may have some clues!
After the conversation he join Svetlana in hastily preparing for whatever Nobility they will play host to.

  5. At some point, Flynn asks for Marshall to stand guard. He explains that he has a ritual to perform, but wants to do it outside the fort, so as not to endanger anyone. Early in the morning, before dawn, he brews a tea and offers it to anyone present, but drinks a lions shars of the brew for himself. It is surprisingly refreshing abd clears away the morning cobwebs. Then he lights a lantern and goes out to the dirt road, several yards away from the fort. He draws 2 large circles with his staff, with several arcane runes between them. (Continued...)

  6. He sprinkles an unknown, glittering powder between the circles. After casting a cantrip, he focuses his attention on the circle, examining it thoroughly. Satisfied, he steps into the circle without disturbing it, and withdraws an oddly shaped, black 'thing', and sits down in the circle, placing the item on his right, and the staff on his left. After 20 minutes of quietness, the sun just barely begins to break the horizon. Flynn begins to hum, followed by very low murmuring. As it begins to get a tad brighter with dawn, he speaks loudly, his voice sounding as two - the ancient sound of arcane language overlayed with the common tongue. (Continued...)

  7. "Magic, reaching far and wide
Arcane and Mind, Nature and Divine.

Release from me, that which I have bound, and bind to me what has been found,

Aykus, bird of gear and springs,
    Endless flight on iron wings.

You are bound to serve your master.
    Flynn Mobious Magnomir, arcane caster!"

The circle that Flynn sits in glows with bright blue, then silver fire erupts. The small item on the right is illuminated as a raven made of metal and clockwork pieces, it spreads its wings wide, and a mighty woooosh of air kicks up the dirt and extinguishes the magical flames. The bird lands on Flynn's shoulder. Taking his staff, Flynn stands up and returns to Oleg's.

    1. Yosser eyes Flynn's new "Bird" companion... after a moment he speaks up with a grin on his face.
" Real birds are still better ya know..."
